furnaces fixed by end of august, or not?, page-2

If anyone is wondering whether CFU 'need' the big furnaces working, just go figure on this.

"We are currently making an average of six fuel cell stacks per week in small furnaces and five BlueGen units per week at our manufacturing plant in Heinsberg, Germany."

The backlog of stacks is huge, something like 400-500. Unless they manufacture them they can't deploy them and be paid for them. With the current manufacturing of 312 stacks per year it will take a year and a half just to clear the backlog!!.

The factory was built to produce 10,000 stacks a year from day 1, but years later it is only producing 312 stacks per year, because with a small furnace they cannot make the stacks fast enough.

Even after fixing two big furnaces at a cost of €1.2m each the factory will still only be able to produce 3,000-3,500 per year. The boxes around the stacks that is the supposed (or rather 'latest') fix attempt reduces the number of stacks they can fit in each furnace, so it looks like they have reduced the factory from 10,000 limit to maybe 6,000-7,000.
