I would suggest that it's as simple as the spec instos getting some profits.

Most mining companies have there greatest gains pre the mine actually operating, when all the spec is still there. PDN is going to be mining in 2006.

The price increases recently have led to the specs taking their profits and going. Some of that money surely is going to the latest U specs (MTN).

The amount of U analysts in Australia is preety near zero. As such, this could all be due to a bunch of big players in Canada or UK getting around for a beer and chatting about where the next big thing is and getting their profits out of PDN.

IMHO PDN is definately looking at getting taken over by a bigger U major from Canada.

Personally, I'm waiting for its return to approx $2 (take over price?) and I'm out. I really want (need?) a new car and PDN is going to help me pay for it. My knowledge of PDN management suggests they all wouldn't mind heading for retirement.

Days like today shake out the weaker players and haven't a few run away to somewhere else.

To all who think its better to change to aussie based U players with dirt in Aus, good luck. I won't be holding my breath waiting for the U policies of state and federal politics to change soon.

Jesus, if dredging Port Phillips bay causes the 'activists' to damage property and threaten violence to individuals what will happen if someone suggests allowing cart blanche U mining Australia wide - probably a greenie war.
