I’m not quite sure why I “have to have gold and silver in my portfolio”.
Some might be smart enough to comprehend and define the determinants of the gold price, and how those determinants will conspire together in the future to drive the price of gold.
Sadly, all I know how to do is to study company financial statements in an attempt to determine whether those companies can create value for their shareholders.
To that end, I must respectfully disagree with you...I still see plenty of blue chips around.
But I agree wholly with you: BNB, ABS, CNP, QAN, and BSL are not, nor never were, blue chip...nor is BHP or WPL, for that matter.
