If the scope of your perspective is the narrow / short term view of just the production output and income from this one well, then yes thats all it is.

However if the scope of your perspective is the broader / longer term view of what Defender represents in terms of the potential production and income from many Defenders then obviously it represents much more than just the current income from 28 bopd net.

Totally up to you of course how you look at it, but given that Defender is an exploration/development well whose purpose is to help prove/de-risk the Niobrara play at Hawk Springs I'd suggest the latter definition of scope is the more appropriate context to judge the Defender results released in the announcement today.
