Any serious operation is traumatic particularly those on the brain as it is , in my opinion, the last frontier as far as medicine and the human body are concerned.

From your writing ,you have come through the operation in good spirits. This is important for you and your young family.

We can thank our good fortune not to live in a third world country where treatment may be non existant or poor at the best.
