It is a good illustration of how far from reality the stock markets of today have become.

They are roulette wheels, controlled by the house.

You pay your money, and you take your chance. And the game is addictive.

For example, imagine how easy it is for the price of a small-cap mining stock to be manipulated by a behometh like Goldman-Sachs (if they so wanted - luckily, why would they bother?).

Why were stock markets created? I have asked this of my local politicians, who have no idea, or interest.

We are on our own, completely at the mercy of a corrupt corporate world, and an indolent government.

We need to create a powerful "Union of Independent Investors" (UNIVEST).
