Vale must also think about the fact that IF they go to hard at the bargaining table with AVB then there will only be ONE contract,TN.

With Xstrata already on board as part of AVB now "15% + Director" we are also the movers and shakers in the region.Third largest land holder in the region gives AVB some clout even without our Xstrata comrades.

My thoughts are that Vale want to do an extra deal with something they've drilled up at TN. This is why they invited AVB to talks/discussions,IMO.

The upshot....Is that,...Vale,Avanco, and Xstrata will treat each other with respect in all dealings,giving AVB further options in the future.

A rather nice grouping of miners if i do say so!
