    Story-telling competition

Write about your journey with friends from all over the world in the exciting and sometimes dangerous cyber world of Internet and mobile technology. Take along a magical helper from the Kingdom of Internet safety.

The competition is under the patronage of Viviane Reding, Member of the European Commission responsible for Information Society.

The story-telling competition is open to 9 to 16 year olds in participating countries.

On 8 February 2005 national rounds began in 19 countries across the world: Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The most exciting national entries will be published online in the Insafe story gallery. National winners will go on to the European Grand Final, which will be held in a mystery city in the heart of Europe in October 2005.

Winning stories will be exciting, creative, colourful and show a good understanding of safe and effective use of Internet and other mobile technology. A special prize will be awarded for the best technical solution.

The best story will be published around the world in the original language as well as in English.

Your national organiser will supply full information on competition categories, rules and regulations."
