You make all sorts of promises and feel good statements.
But there is no money.
There is no funding agreement.
The Federal Government doesn't even have a constitutional reference to be meddling in education - the High Court drove a stake through the heart of Federation when it allowed the commonwealth to make tied grants to the states.
Ever since, the commonwealth has been sticking it's nose into every aspect of our lives which is not what the founding fathers of the constitution intended.
