Where have you seen these in operation at a level that shows they work.
Inherent in any complex system there are indeed inefficiencies and even at the micro level could make any shared system slow to react to change etc. even though wastage has been minimized.
Overly complex systems can become cumbersome.
How would human nature adapt to a fully planned economic system I wonder?
