"It is not a pretty picture for them and ,as I pointed out in an earlier post, a difficult situation for an up and coming producer to find a market in an over supply situation."

    Roh,

Seen that your post is a little too off topic, I am going to reply to you hoping that the mods will let it go through as it is just in reply to your own post.
Yet again, it is to be noted, that it is well known that CDU has also Iron ore that they will be mining in conjunction with the copper mining, so it should be all above board.

    1) According to some news, The Chinese only have sufficient Iron ore stockpiles for about 3 or 4 more weeks.
    2) Then we have that time of the year that the iron ore prices are going to be renegotiated for the next 12 months supply.
    3) IMO, the Chinese are relenting with the view that when negotiation will restart with the three majors, they may be able to keep prices down and to an acceptable level.

So Roh, do you believe that they will close the mills in China, or will they relent a bit and start buying again?
I am guessing here but my gut feeling tells me that they will keep them going. Especially when Central Government has released information that they plan to move about 600million of their people into the Cities.

FMG's Ziggy, it appears that he is still very bullish with his IO mining and he is not slowing down.

Now, as for the copper part. It was also stated and forecasted by someone in these Forums that the prices of copper was going to reach at least $13k or $14k dollars per tonne by the middle or the end of 2012, while of course it was also emphasized/highlighted that our dollar was only going to be at maximum of 70 to 80 cents $USD.
Here we have now copper at around $USD 7,500 per tonne and our $AUD is above $USD parity prices.

As I always said, it is of no use whasoever trying and counting chickens before all the eggs are fully hatched.

I am sure though, that CDU with it's low costs mining will do well, but not as well as many anticipated due to the low copper prices. Neither do I believe that our sp will reach the $100 dollars, and above.

I am sure that time will tell. Especially when we still have got at least another 12 months before we will get into mining and in full swing. That is if we are still trading under the same structure and ownership though.

    Cheers mate.
