IMHO the difference between the westward dipping, and the eastward dipping is that the westward dipping was interpreted from mag data only (pre diamond drilling), and in the light of stratigraphy and angles from the first 2 holes, we now know the structures are in fact dipping east???
In fairness to the geological team, bear in mind that interpretation of mag data is not a cut and dried science IMHO. A diamond drill is referred to as the "truth tool" for good reasons.
