The politics of envy is a live and well in Australian
Where the media and their rich master have made the average Australian envious of poor people risking their lives coming here in boats. They have managed to convince them that they are actually rich people who will be living the high life in government provide free accomadation.
Gina is envious of people on a low wage who's few small pleasures in life includes having a few drinks do the pubs with their mates.(as she has none)
The rich people are envious of the average working joe who goes home after eight hours and can't understand why they won't work week ends and long hours for a flat rate of pay. They can't understand why they would want to spend time with their families rather than trying to make themselves rich.
People are envious of those on unemployment benefits who are living it up taking drugs and supposedly living it up at their expense.
The Today Tonights and the ACA reinforces these grossly false stereotypes and whip the working masses up into a frenzy whilst ignoring the people who are really profiting from their hard labour (can't attack the people who own the networks and their rich mates).
Yes envy is a poltical tool used by the rich to attack the poor using the working middle classes to wield the weapon.
Gina is just interested in lining her own pockets as quickly as possible and could not care less about anyone else her own family included. That is not a statement based on envy as I don't envy her at all , I actually pitty the selfish greedy sad lonely person she is.She may become the richest person in the world but there will be happier souls starving in third world refugee camps than her.
