Mining is a cyclic and very very very well paid industry. Jobs come and go with the highs and lows of the cycle. Plenty of jobs have been lost in retail and manufacturing and other sectors also where employees earn less than 40% the wage of the mining industry. Lets try not get too emotional about jobs losses as FMG cuts back jobs.
