In the last couple of minutes of the closing auction, about 23 MILLION shares suddenly appeared on the BUY side at 80c. This boosted the total on that side from about 21 million to 44 million. The buy price didn't change, it missed out on the crossmatch, and was withdrawn about 30 seconds after the roll-through.
Some fund would seem to be a bit desperate either to buy some LYC, or to cover about 23 million shorts.
Wonder if they'll try to push it back down to the 80c level tomorrow, or whether the media exposure it gets tonight and in the morning will give us another big green candle up to the dollar and above?
Would be SO nice to see shorts getting burned badly, wouldn't it? ;)
did anyone else notice?
