gannp: "Actually the SP is the measurement device because without it you can't measure market capitalisation."

I find it interesting that you elect to take this stance.
It can be quite a conceptual hurdle for some to understand the exact relationship between ticker symbols, market cap. and the real impact of movements in these.
I've always found it difficult to explain in short and I may be wrong but from Casbahs statements about a similar company reaching a $20 ticker price, meaning Newsat should also reach that I think he needs to investigate these relationships a little further.
I agree with Kavlotiko in that it may be worth comparing the market cap of the company because unless by some miracle they have a very similar amount of shares on offer, comparing the tickers will be meaningless.
"If the SP doubles overnight so does the market cap."
By this notion I fear you may deceive people, that when they wake up the morning after a 2 for 1 consolidation they think they have doubled their money and sell? When in fact the value of their holding didn't change.
I know you know all this, I'm just concerned that by correcting kav you aren't necessarily aiding Casbah in understanding some fundamental flaws in his stock market interpretation which could possibly cause him financial backlash.
Casbah, I agree with the others in that NWT can double in the short term and quad over the next few years.
However, you may login 3 weeks from now and find that newsats share price is $60 on the back of a 100 for 1 consolidation, please know that the ticker alone is meaningless in the sense that it is never comparable to any other company without additional information.
Casbah If you don't understand how NWT could read $60 soon yet you've made no money, please create another thread and I'll attempt to explain further.
You're a Newsat holder so you've already done 99% of the steps to reaching the top 10 on the forbes billionaire list, lets discuss the last 1% ;)
