The primary targets were *estimated* to be between 1800-2200 metres. They were looking for Kipini Sands rather than Kipini Shale. Perhaps the Sands didn't start until after 2006m.
Also note that in the 3/9 update at 2553m it says "The secondary exploration target is deeper than the current drill depth" - note that they only mention the *secondary* as being still below.
