bigmac " Put me in charge of Medicare. The first thing I'd do is to get women to have birth control implants" is the line that caught my eye. I attended a function in Brisbane where the subject was "You have been elected Benevolent Dictator" by 100% of the people. You have one option to change society". A teacher (lady, middle 50's) said "I would give all male babies a reversible vasectomy at birth". Which I thought was a good idea. Another offering was that while in this country voting is compulsory, the system fails in taking into account the varying degrees of 'wisdom' of individual voters. It was suggested and agreed that some votes could account as one, and others as ten. At the moment everyone gets an equal vote, and considering the quality of some comments in the political threads on Hot Copper I rest the case.
