I wouldnt say it was a pathetic excuse, mankind rears domestic animals for slaughter and consumption, they hunt wild animals for food and recreation. Some times the animals deaths are cruel and prolonged. Animal pests are treated with contempt. Your desire to make the people involved in a small part of animal suffering experience torture is unjust in my opinion. Cock fighting and dog fighting has no appeal for me but it is what these animals do in the wild with out prompting by humans.
