I don't believe it will affect the opening auction. I'm thinking deeper then that. This could be an easy untraceable way the big guys sent out the message, keep the value below or above this price, or if no trade goes through, we're sitting out today???
Just a theory and I'm going to try and watch the price in relation to these bids in the future.
