Michelle Grattan - that well known mouthpiece of the Labor Party. As with Oakes, Bongiorno, the list is endless.

Hows about someone with the time start the dig up of the Gillard standards of behaviours whe she was Presient of her Student Union in the long ago day when she was "young and naive"..
only problem is - WE don't have the advantages of having to hand a taxpayer funded media unit of 1600 person,s costing Australia $150,000,000 pa, to help dig up some dirt.

As for Barristers, without making or inferring any allegations, or referring to anyone in particular with regard to any particular event or circumstance currently relative to this spite invoked "let's get Abbott" LAbor PArty inspired campaign currently under discussion, I'd state that a wig and a black gown and some fancy after name initials do not necessarily maketh anyone a righteous man - nor a saint, or even lead to just decision outcomes in court, if it comes to that. And believe me, I have some gory experiences when it comes to Barristers, and the fancy tricks which go on to dissaude litigants. Gory in the "not all equally good" department, via an 8 years long case I (finally) successfully ran. It is not too strong to say that the law is often a very dirty business indeed.

Funny that! - we have UPROAR about ABBOTT and some kiddie student meeting yonks ago - such keen memories to the fore all of a sudden - (and we all know the volatility of ALL impassioned Student Unionists when aroused at that age - just look at the street rallies) yet DEATHLY SILENCE is strangely pervasive throughout the land, at all legal levels, about the heavily serious Thomson/Gillard/Wilson allegations. But NOT one peep or murmur from these otherwise self-righteous. Not even ONE query from any of the bewigged about why it is that revered and courageous journos are being sacked just by the asking - yet, even then, nothing is being done!
    Free speech - what's that?

Double standards I think it used to be called. Before things in the justice department began to unravel into the prevailing pits of "anything goes, as long as it pays".

The gleeful territory of the "nudge nudge wink winkers!"

This is 2012 - it may as well be 1812 - and our prisons and courts at the standards of the huge injustices which so often prevailed, (or were procured) then.
