Hi gravelman and others, not too much input on this topic. Here's a list of the ones I consider quality reads.
Stan Weinstein "Secrets for Profiting in a Bull or Bear Market" - puts forward his theory of stage analysis in the life cycle of a stock (one of those books that gave me the "ah-ha" moment)
Van Tharp "Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom" - describes the whole trading scenario, ie finding and developing a system that suits you, goes into psychology of personal biases etc.
Mark Douglas "Trading in the Zone" already mentioned by mb, one of those books you have to keep reading until you "get" it, one of the best. Also Douglas has an earlier book that I liked "The Disciplined Trader: Developing Winning Attitudes", not sure if that's still around.
Jack Schwager's book on "Market Wizards" "Stock Market Wizards" Q and A style interviews of all sorts of traders fa'ers, ta'ers, investors, star gazers etc. Buy and keep books that you go back and read a favourite traders every now and then.
Alan S Farley "The Master Swing Trader" like the bible of trading, best book incorporates everything, but a big read!
William O'Neill "How to Make Money in Stocks" the cup and handle guru, also incorporates his fundy ideas CANSLIM
Lynch's books "One Up on Wall Street", more fundamental, he's the "ten-bagger" guru
Now take your pick - that's the best of what I've read. Have heaps of others Guppys (to many words for me), sending surplus off to good sammies next week, have just done a clean out, so its fresh in my mind which ones are worth keeping. If you live in Perth you can have excess free.
