It would be quite difficult for a small ETF to be "accurate" if the minimum parcel was $500.
For example, if you had a small cap ETF and 1% of the fund was BCI.
Then if an investor invested $5,000 with the fund, the fund would have to buy $50 (1% of $5,000) worth of BCI shares which is 20 shares.
If they were forced to buy in $500 parcels, they would have to wait until they had $50,000 of new investments before they could buy BCI by which time the price might have changed considerably.
What I do think the ASX should do is to double check that all these bot-purchases are for legitimate reasons.
