Hazio, I had the same feeling about SRH#1 with initial flows of around 370 bopd, I thought maybe they had drilled thru a portion of a traditional sandstone section that had contributed to the high flow of oil, maybe it was just a build up? Who knows!
Then when I read more about what is typical for verticles around the Permian anywhere from 10 to 100 bopd after they settle in. Thats very strange and it has never been explained!
I thought the same thing, it certainly generated alot of excotement.
No alot more nowadays, you live and learn.
Still think the horizontals can produce around 1000 BOPD initially.
