ST, I deal with bureacrats regularly in my job. It would not be at all unusual to chase up a bureacrat where they have indicated they would take 30 days for an answer and there is no answer for 40 days. Indeed, most bureacrats would be surprised not to expect a query. For christsake, the UK is not Russia or China...
