    smp71, I don't think a bidder is allowed to buy shares when there is an offer, so no buying for TPG.

    Bain's withdrawal today means that there is less competitive tension, so the share price just aligns closer to the TPG offer. Someone else could step up, and then the SP goes back up again in hope of a bidding war.
