Have tried to digest this all day. I must say I was a bit disappointed at the timing as we had just started to head back north and I was beginning to see faint dollar signs before my eyes...another cent or two would have been more favourable from where I stand plus a higher buy in price would have been more welcome as I wouldn't feel so exposed. I guess that is what happens when share price is low and vulnerable.

Yes, I came to the same conclusion. The 51pc control ownership I find hard to get my head around. I thought we'd be dead meat if someone else tried to take over the new ownership-structured FML. However, your post indicates this is not a done deal (nor is Shandong's approach) even though they will have majority shareholding. Why is it we need about 10pc odd? How does this work.

Also, regarding ordinary voting, would institutions be put off owning FML because they'd never be able to defeat the 51pc Shandong vote if they thought it wascrequired for whatevervreason. These large shareholders seem to enjoy being lobbied for their votes.......just a thought....

I understand the positives and also the fact of actually getting a cornerstone investor in these risk averse times, it's just that I still want to be around when they bring the bacon home..!!

Just had momentum in another stock (MEL) come to an abrupt halt due, imo, to bad timing of an announcement that came after a very positive announcement. This stock sits at a loss as well. So, when one begins to see the prospect of returning positive, when it seems like it won't be in the never never, but more sooner than later and then to have this come way out of left field is a little frustrating from where I sit as I can't quite figure whether I should be reviewing my own investment plans especially in regard to timeline.

Then of course there is the question of what if this deal does not get approved. Would FML have revealed their 'frailty' in the capital stakes?
