Gee Karlene, thats a bit rough isn't it. The last few years has been brutal in the markets and CDU holders have had a bumpier ride than most. Finally the SP is back in the vacinity of where it was before the JORC from hell and much of the doubt over the future of the company has also been removed. With finance, a ML and a shoot load of Cu (no I don't know exactly how much either) CDU certainly is starting to look the goods.

Given the number of internationals lined up to take on their maximum holding, given the countdown to mining has started, given the SP has fully recovered to pre JORC levels and for the first time in 3 years there shouldn't be many holders still sitting on losses, would you really deny long suffering holders the right to have a smile on their faces?

Sure the SP spike is unlikely to continue upwards in a straight line forever, the actual Cu grades and profitability won't be known tomorrow, but holders who said "screw that" to those predictions of the SP falling to $2 have actually been proven right with a 66% rise in recent months. Those making such predictions have at this point in time gotten it completely wrong. Those that stood here and openly declared "We think you are wrong and we are willing to back ourselves" surely have reason to feel good.

Share prices aren't static, except then WM gets the shoots and decides upon a 6 week trading halt, so the moment will pass and inevitably most will sit back and wait for the next moment to arise and hope that it involves a higher price yet again. What happens during the wait can involve nail biting, second guessing, questioning ones sanity, and as we have seen here in recent years, defending ones decision against those that think they know better. None of this is unique to CDU as holders of most stocks will be familiar with it.

You might call it backslapping. You might not like other celebrating something going their way. You might not like to hear the murmers from those that are biting their nails when the next correction takes place. I do however wonder which stocks are devoid of that which is the funamental escense of the retail market ?

Can't we just let shareholders have their moment ? God knows non-shareholders have had their moments in the sun in recent years. There is little in life that gives me more joy than the smiles and excitment that kids have when seeing all the presents on xmas day. Likewise I enjoy rather than begrudge those little guys who finally get a win on the stock market which as we all know is fundamentally weighted against them. Lets not steal xmas and remember this time isn't a gift as these people have made large financial sacrifices to get to this point.

Sorry if this sounds like I'm jumping on the usual bash the non-holder wagon, but that isn't my intention. Just sick to death of terms like "fanboy", "the club", "ramper", and "back slapping" which are all insults to those that have actual skin in the game. Not just on CDU threads by the way.
