I have never seen pentlandite at surface in outcrop in Australia. It simply doesn't happen. I have seen the Sirius core fresh from 400m below surface - it is aweek old and already heavily tarnished / rotting.
That rock chip is very unlikely to be nickel sulphide - sorry.
If that other specimen is bornite - highly unlikely also - why didn't they publish the Niton XRF numbers for it?
If they have bornite at surface (the Rolls-Royce of copper sulphides and rarely associated with nickel sulphides btw) the associated surface anomalies would be enormous.
