Mcgusto,
Of course they don't like it.
You would have to be barking to like it.
Anyone with even a modicum of business nous knows that nobody hands over 51% of the destiny of a company to another country to control, unless dire things have happened beyond their means,or they have steered that company into one hell of a mess and have been left with very little option.
I hope I am wrong on this, but the latter is looking highly likely to me, and I am not hopeful as to the content of this disgustingly late information being posted to all shareholders.
The lack of respect and regard for the shareholders by this BOD in consistently withholding vital information time and again on crucial issues is breathtaking.
We had not (despite obvious disquiet from this forum)
been afforded even the most miniscule of titbits of any worth regarding the CRE takeover or the plan from the subsequent stalemate with Stone, and now we hear six months down the road that the board feel it is in everyones interest to vote yes on handing control of yet another AUSTRALIAN mining company over to another country.
Is there something wrong with Australians?
Has their geography on this planet rendered them so insular in there thinking and take on what is happening in the wider world, that they just can't comprehend what is slowly but inexorably usurping their land by mission creep?
I don't believe so!!
Just the overall standard and educational input on this forum alone tells me that can't possibly be the case.
So what is it?
This planet has been on the brink of implosion from wars, strife and corruption almost since history began, and here you are with your island country chocked full of the kind of mineral wealth and resources that most governments would give their eye teeth for and you think the best thing to do with it is give it away!
Brilliant idea until the global xxxx hits the fan!
I am incensed by this latest offering from our board.
I don't need to read anything else they have to add to soften the blow, because the bedrock from which the whole agreement is going to be founded on is abject lunacy.
I am not agenda driven!
I have never posted anything in my life with an agenda! What angers me is that I am personally convinced that one way or the other this deal will have to go through whatever the small shareholders think, because there won't be another option afforded us.
For the sake of all small shareholders in here and the precedents that are being slowly set for the future prosperity of Australia as a whole right under your noses I hope I am proved totally wrong, because unlike some, I can take that on the chin just like I will deserve to.
