I think the game is fine how it is, complicating it may cause participation to drop off but here are my opinions anyway (in brackets)

Eight suggestions:-

Post before 7:00 pm double points if you win. (May not be fair to some)

Green wings for the winner of the month.(sounds good)

Wings are removed clipped at the end of the next month if not achieved again. (Yes)

Win the next month silver wings (temporary)-(yes)

Win(?)months in a row gold wings (permanent)reviewed after? (yes but not permanent)

Winner of the previous night sets the theme for the next night. (No, too much hassle from a smart phone while at work)

Biggest loser of the night loses the same points as the winner. (No, hard enough as it is to get points and may prevent posters from making big calls/taking risks etc).
