CW, when do you think the 227.5M be spent by?
Is there any chance of getting a cash divvy while this money exists? I believe not.
Would SD prefer to issue rights to purchase shares at a discount be a preferred way rather than giving out cash?
Would SD in the future once the 227M is spent prefer to hedge gold to themselves, say 51%, when there is a rising POG? The arguement being it brings in more cash to continue to grow the company? Think about it. They can use Chinese bank pouring money as debt to SD, who buys gold at essentially at a discount in a rising POG market, and make a killing on every ounce and get all that upside not 51% of it.
And those swooning at FML, beautiful plumage, such a wonderous operation, peer at the TI development where all that hedge sourced money was needed, and wait, wait wait until the hedge is payed out.
Finally relief. Oops, then there is the M&A activity that needs to be supported. Hedging anyone? Lets say it takes 5 years, and the POG in 5 years?
Way, way too much uncertainty, too much trust, too much unknows, too much control. The fact is, and everyone knows it, its piblic knowledge that China wants gold exported back to China (I am cool with that) and don't want to spend a trillion dollars on market to do it. Obviously counter their aims. So if their aim is to secure gold in ground, where is the incentive to spend money on sp growth or dividends. Its not what they want.
Please stop waving the carrot of techno geeky geo stuff, and show people where the money will come from. And no more stories about mates in pig farms, of fund managers. Straightforwardly, how am I going to get rich from my shares, bought because FML were a low margin operation that stood to leverage greatly from an uptick in POG, and now as most have realised that we sold half the company and control to get a company mining twice as much, plus a lot of uncertainty. The only people with certainty from this deal is SD. 51% --- look for the upwards pointing middle finger.
