I have to disagree here, the assumption that chinese business is run to the benefit of the nation is a misplaced conception held by many of us in the west. government policy may oversee what they can and cant do but it is less intrusive than many think

Chinese business owners are just as much about personal wealth generation as our own. they all want to drive the ferrari's and have their Mcmansion just like us.

If it was all about the nation, there would be no chinese billionaires. The chinese are going through what the russians went through after the end of the cold war.

The opportunities for them to generate personal wealth are ever increasing. This deal is aimed at making people wealthy.

The chinese people have a love of money (and gold ,as they see it as money). To the chinese people, the 'communist dynasty' is the same as any other dynasty from the past. the rules might be different but they all still want to make money.

the perception that they are a nation of people working for the common good is nothing but a fantasy.

The fact they are chinese has no weight in the argument for me. It is all about the terms of the deal regardless of who is making it.
