what if i say search can be done apps on social media? there are 3rd party applications for it within gmail, facebook, linkedin, google docs, salesforce, etc (salesforce being premium along with some more platforms while rest free). and these are not just related to social contacts and details an individual puts up there including pics-it can also be used for real-time stocks, latest financial and company updates, research articles, health updates, educational updates, marketing and advertising updates, publishing tools and updates and so on as technology has changed each and every sector,business model, industry and lifestyle. hc is a growing stock forum though not only 1 and not largest-yes largest n best in australia but not largest in the world and being a forum, it's part of the social media. in fact, hc is a vertical social media being into the niche sector of finance and investments. and it's an excellent 1 for australia. there are other larger stock forums but some parts of them are not free + hc is better for australian investments.
total surveillance has been there like written in previous posts for decades (check out the videos, history and so on including from apple to ibm big brother ad in 1984 and there were other videos too).
identity theft, hackings, espionage including terrorism occurs and especially since september 11 2001 things have changed loads.
as written in previous posts: a) would u b ok to put up ur real name as ur id and also other details including over here? forums are also part of social media including hc coming under the vertical social media since it's into the niche area of finance/investments. most people wouldn't on social media due to identity theft, espionage, terrorism and so forth. and that's y sometimes free speech is curbed as can't put some types of data/info up. b) would u b ok to share details of ur emails with the government including ASIC? http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/companies/asic-wants-access-to-personal-emails/story-fn91v9q3-1226482907746 (had put this up in previous posts). would u b ok if google put up ur emails under search and that's what they had planned couple of weeks ago? not sure where that's headed. also would u b ok for facebook to accidently put up ur private messages for public to see which occurred few days ago? and same goes with other technologies and even financial institutions (happened with the banking,gaming and other sectors).
