It was just brought up as an example to show that different states may have different interpretations and rules in regard to corridors.
In the case of powerlines for instance, and from memory, the rules are different again.
As to what rules would apply in NSW and in particluar to the Lions Way Gas Pipeline, no one knows. And it would only be revealed if and when an application will be lodged.
I am also of the belief that the Local Council would have a say on that. And the reason that I am saying so, is because usually they want to get their noses into anything that goes on within their Local Council's Area.
Next time I will drive through the Liverpool plains, and if I remember, I will ask some of the Landholders there what rules were applied when the pipeline went through.
