    re: ridge Snooks,

First up, I don't believe your comments in the post directed to Beaumie are racist. They are statements of fact.

There have been a lot of genetic studies into jewish heritage some argue them as a race (mostly if you observe they are by jews) and others relate them to the general population of the area. One thing is for sure and that is that Abraham was not born a jew, he started a religion we have come to know as judaism , the followers of which are jews. He was not born a jew and nor were the people that followed his movement in the early days, like Abraham they converted. The fact that the genetics of certain types of jews are broadly similar only means that there have been close marriages and reproduction down the ages but this group is only a subset of the original race.

BTW there are four basic races as a subset of the human race. in no particular order they are Mongoloid, Negroid, Caucasian and Semite (there might be a fifth but I cannot recall it). 'oh boy' in his post has given a very detailed run down some of which I would query because there were no 'Anglo Saxons' until after the seventh century when the Saxons (ex Germany) invaded England and mixed with the Angles. earlier raiders like the Vikings just pillaged and ran but the Saxons stayed. Vikings and Saxons like Angles are just another Caucasian tribe. Try to think of it in North American Indian terms as Apaches, Sioux, Navajoh, Commanche etc all of which were/are mongoloids.

Anyway, I hope you are not offended by my challenge I was just seeking to set the record straight. 'oh boy' has some interesting data on the subject and I know he is from Baghdad but try and discuss it with him on an even plane as it is fairly evident he has studied the middle east and other people movements from an historical perspective.
