    Cricketer,

I would suggest you research this issue a littlemfuther before reaching a conclusion. Gas extraction in the USA v Australia are two veryndifferent processes. In Australia all wellsmare cased and cemented to prevent any damage to underground Aquifers.

The disposal of produced water from CSG exploration is regulated by the most environmentally significant conditions ever place on any extractive industry. For instance one simply can't run produced water into creeks, store same in unlined dams or simply dispose of the water of the ground. Regulation states water must be treated to drinking quality and disposed of via aquifer re injection.

There are over 1500 regulatory conditions associated with CSG to LNG.

The reverse osmosis plants treating CSG water can are huge and treat water often before it's used by farmers for watering crops and feeding livestock.
There has not been a single CSG well contaminate an aquifer in QLD.

The old story of being able to light farmers bores has happened for a
hundred years and as a child I lit many just to pass the time of day on a property smack bang in the middle of the now SG fields around Tara in
    Qld.

Agriculture and gas exploration does coexist and if you ask farmers on whose land CSG wells and infrastructure are located the majority will tell you it's a good and manageable experience. Some farmers are earrings in excess of $100.000 per year for wells, pipes dams etc on their land and they have a big role to play in the location of infrastructure so it's not a one sided terrible story as many want yo to believe.

Please do some research and don't make judgements off the now dis credited Gaslands movie and the rhetoric of same!
