    As far as chasing the easy money which makes sense I can well understand the potential of a river delta and what that may contain. I suppose the other thing is what technology was available at the time. if we are looking to the mid 80's to what is available today as far as extraction and seismic data I suspect the mid 80's by comparisson of today would look like the stone age.

    So, such a clear explanation deserves another question! Are you aware of any data of other large river deltas and what they have produced? I suppose the closer this can be matched to todays technology would be better.

    It seems to me that a lot of companies stepped aside in the mid 80's and either shut up shop or looked elsewhere after the oil price collapsed, is this how you see it?
