If a referendum was to be held as to who is preferred between Abbott and Turnbull, Malcolm Turnbull would win by the proverbial country mile. Turnbull would attract a huge swathe of swinging voters who are the ones that decide elections. Its not the rusted ons or Tea Party Types that decide election outcomes, its more moderate voters like me that have a capacity to change their mind. Many of the Abbott supporters here are rusted ons who wont impact the election outcome.
