If bta was $3, Would those still get millions of free bta shares as part of their bonuses each year?
The agency problems of management are very evidently reflected in the case of Biota, IMHO.
Tighter regulations need to be added to the conpany laws. Otherwise, soon or later, the advantages of public company structure will been far outweighed by those disadvantages and problems. This is reflected in the difficulty to raise fund by those small companies or those with poor management reputation. Yet, our Biota management complain about the difficulty to raise fund in the Australian market. They should look more carefully into themselves if they do not know the true reasons for this problem.
Just my thoughts.
