For a shock jock that dispensed abuse day in and day out to complain about people expressing their disgust with him takes the cake.
On advertisers, we are entitled to choose from whom we buy products and if I chose not to buy a product because it turns me off due to the association with Jones that is my right. If some want to publicly promote that line of thinking they are also entitled to do so.
In any event advertisers of reputable products would not want their products reputation tarnished by advertising through someone linked to distasteful behaviour. This is evidenced in the sports area where sponsors pull their support when players are seen in a bad light due to their off field behaviour.
Its not Mercedes as you falsely claim that is playing the political hand, that goes to Mr Jones who even targets the dead in his political cause. Mercedes dont want their magnificent vehicles associated with muckraking politics so they have pulled their ads.
