Seriously, I've listened to them squeal "the end" every tick of the tape from about 450.

they squealed loudest when it was going thru 1000 (yeah yeah, was never gunna hold), and also when it took a couple of runs at 1100.

I see this recent action at 1800 very similar to the action at 1100 about 3 years ago.
