macquarie radio network dumps on alan jones, page-43

All this media coverage of a stupid comment by Alan Jones is a bad joke. I am sick of all the nonsense. I am not a listener to his program, but I really think the reaction is way over the top.
For goodness sake, the man has not murdered or tortured anyone - he just made a dumb statement.
I would lay money on it that the labor government has been waiting for a opportunity like this - they and Julia have of course made tremendous political mileage of it. Julia probably could not give a stuff about AJs opinion. She loathes him and has probably set out to catch him out.
If she can destroy an elected prime minister, I'm sure she can destroy Alan Jones. Really he has done her and the Labor Party a big favour being such a dufus!
I find it disturbing that the social media bandwaggon jumpers have made such a carry on about something Jones did not expect to be recorded.
Everyone makes off the cuff dumb remarks at times. Of course, they are not all famous radio announcers.
As repellent as I actually find Jones, I am concerned about our freedom of speech frankly. Let's please have some diverse points of view allowed without all this political correctness! Get it in perspective.
