Firstly i dont think eitehr beattie or gallop will capitulate...unless the Feds labour tell them to.

Secondly, if anyone, gallop, despite his stubborn opposititon to uranium, will capitulate before Beattie

Because WA is after all a 'mining state' and the majority of people in WA are pro mining...because it provides so many jobs and money for the economy. Yes QLD has decent share of miig, but nowhere near as important as it is in WA.

However, regardless, i reckon Labours time in office at a state level is coming to an end and the liberals will win through shortly enough.

One other thing that could cause the state govts to capitulate is when they see the amount of revenue the NT is earning due to the opening up of uranium mining...something the WA and QLD state govts probly wont be able to resist.
