RC is very bullish with the Horn Valley Siltstone.

If a hypothesis is true, new facts should strengthen the hypothesis.

To date, all information is pointing to a thermally matured HVT being naturally fracced and, aided by fault developments and salt movements, oil is leaked into the sandstones. Conventional oil from these sandstone will set CTP up nicely.

But, getting oil directly out of the HVT should be the main goal. RC said it is 150m thick, and only 500km long. An oil shale layer tends to be uniformly matured, so we can expect the entire 500km to be oil charged.
