Just a thought.
I think that knowing when announcements are going to be made is working to take away the impact of the Wow(!) factor on the SP.
The market knows that there is an announcement coming and it also has a good idea that the news will be very very good. When the annoucement date (finaly) arrives the whole thing is treated like a Ho-Hum. Nothing new! We knew what was coming.
However, if an excellent announcement came out of the blue, I think that the reaction in the SP would be more "dramatic".
Interested to know what others think about this theory.
