government dont want property prices to fall as they can keep taxing the crap out of us as long as property stays up, or keeps rising. when people cant pay new taxes they 1. down size 2.borrow aginst thier house 3. sell their home and rent Ken henry said negetive gearing should be removed but the government quickly dismissed it, if people feel they are not making money with property the imposing of new taxes will be impossible
