    Good Sunday to you firSova,

International Paper the worlds largest paper company, US company had a 2011 turnover of $26 billion. And around 60,000 employees.

Profit wise it was one of the best years in decades. Thanks partly to the weak US dollar and probably a buy USA marketing thrust.

The next 3 largest paper company all have $10 billion plus sales revenue per year. Case have $20 billion. The US listed ones are paying dividends, in the case of International paper a substantial increase this year. All are going into packaging and pushing into China and Russia. Temple .. Packaging was taken over by International Paper.

One possible weakness is they have pulp mills And that should be loss making. But not necessarily as it was their best year in decades.

I think US paper companies have a big advantage over Paperlinx not just the FOREX but the balance of trade. Aust should be in surplus trade with China, whilst US would be in deficit balance of trade with China. So of the 2 or 3 paper merchants to be considered to trade in China you would give two places to US company.

Anyway Paperlinx know their stuff and marketing specialists. Just need a berth of the emerging markets, but don't spend too much money or time chancing it, as this 12 months could be the last or the fresh beginning.
