Earlier I posted;
"3 weeks ago some may have thought it would break down when it dropped to 1736 intraday and had its lowest close for the consolidation, yet a day later it was in a short term uptrend and making a new high within the consolidation pattern and it made two more, higher highs over the following week. Now its lower again but still well within its range.
All short term noise for now IMO.

Who knows, it might even retest 1,700 before it breaks 1,800 but another $50 drop is still just noise within this new uptrend that begun after the 1 year triangular consolidation pattern broke decisively to the upside with a $250 move from 1,550 to 1,800."

I just watched "chart this" on Kitco.com.
He also sees support at that intraday low, and next support at around 1700. He favours the 1736-1740 level holding.
He has been pretty good recently and hopefully he has it right now as well. If so we are pretty much there now at 1743.
