re: obtaining environmental clearance I really don't care if people buy into any Uranium stock. After all, the SMM stock is becoming rapidly foreign owned thanks to the US Dines Letter. Hence the unexplained share price rises.

It is on the International Radar, and if the share price rises, even more so.

Much has been made of SMM not having permission to mine. However, the Queensland Govt look like fools as their Labour colleagues in the Aussie Senate all voted for Uranium.

No, doubt the Queensland Labour Govt will be looking for a way out.

SMM has one massive advantage being just North of MT ISA: nobody cares about them drilling and there wouldn't be any problems with getting an environmental clearance to mine as soon as general approval is given.

It would be far worse if SMM projects were on an environmental sensitive area, because no matter what, the answer would be "NO".

So, SMM wouldn't worry about environmental problems, IMHO.

But some other company might, more so, as the Greenies, if they lose a vote about Uranium mining in Queensland, may well direct their attention somewhere else and focus on an area where environmental clearance is much more difficult to get.

Or the Southland Govt may want to approve Uranium mining in the State but may need to make a deal because of opposition to a certain project going ahead.
